Wood Window Guards work with any window that opens vertically (up and down). The window's sliding sash provides downward pressure to hold the guard in place. They work with both single and double-hung windows.

No. Some horizontal wiggle room is necessary to guarantee a fit. We recommend subtracting two inches from your window width measurement when placing an order.
No. While Wood Window Guards work with or without window screens in place they are not a replacement product.
Through use the white finish may get marred or stained. Wood Window Guards are finished with low VOC acrylic paint that can be refreshed via Magic Eraser or similar micro-abrasive pad.
